Mindscapes are a series of compilations of my early recordings between 1982 and 1993. They include sound improvisations, instant melodic pieces, soundscapes and musical sketches. Some pieces are long, static and meditative, some others are brisk, rhythmic and bubbly.

Originally, all the pieces were recorded on cassettes. Many of the tracks have been recorded as "studio live" to a two-track or four-track tape recorder, but some have been further mixed using off-board effects and additional instruments and sounds.

Back in the 1980's I never thought releasing these pieces as such. However, after the release of the album Winterplanet (Origo Sound 2013), which also builds upon my old recordings I decided to restore, re-edit and remix more pieces from the original tapes.
